A new FREE event is coming up in May! JAYU’s AM I WRONG TO LOVE? is a photography exhibit that explores the lives and journeys of LGBTQ2SI refugees from around the world. The evening will include keynote addresses, a series of panel conversations around LGBTQ2SI refugee resettlement, and the launch of our photography exhibition.
Portraits are taken by participants from JAYU’s iAM Program, a year-round initiative that provides photography and social justice training to youth who mostly come from underserved neighbourhoods. Profits from the photo sales will be split between the youth participants and local organizations helping resettle LGBTQ2SI refugees.
This exhibition is proudly presented in partnership with Rainbow Railroad, UNHCR Canada, The 519, and FrancoQueer and is an official part of the Scotiabank Contact Photography Festival.
So WHEN and WHERE is this event, you may ask?!
